Typical Aussie Chardonnay, full of tropical fruit and toasty oak. Especially good with quiches.
Persuading the huge Southcorp organisation to put one of their biggest international sellers into screwcap bottles for the first time took some doing! This dinner-party-worthy Chardonnay is yet another in D&R group growing range of screw-capped fine wines. Why? Around one in every 20 bottles of wine sealed with natural cork is 'corked' (spoiled by a harmless but unpleasant musty smell and flavour that comes from bad corks). Screw caps are reliably taint-free.
Storage instructions: To enjoy this wine at its best, drink within 1 year of purchase.
History: The hallmark of Lindemans Bin 65 Chardonnay is its outstanding consistency of quality and style, vintage after vintage. This reliability of quality combined with value for money has won this Chardonnay international recognition and innumerable awards, including an unprecedented ten 'Best Buy' awards in US Magazine Wine Spectator.
Winemaking details: Selected components from Victoria fermented using controlled oxidative juice handling techniques to enhance complexity. Parcels from cooler regions fermented using protective non-oxidative methods to maximise flavour intensity. A mix of American and French oak used during fermentation to add complexity to the final blend, 30% of which underwent malolactic fermentation.
